upgrading boost on a jrsc lude

upgrading boost on a jrsc lude
if i were to upgrade boost from a 6psi pulley to a 9psi pulley. what's the bare minimum that i would need? i know that a 6psi pulley will run just fine on stock internals, but am weary about that with increasing by 3psi. thanks.
