Is he looking to trade aftermarket stuff or stock for stock? If he is just wanting to trade stock for stock I wouldn't trade because he's probably fucked up something and wants a working suspension.

I think he's either just bullshitting your or he's fucked up his stock suspension. Either way it's not really worth the time to put the car on stands, pull the shocks off, and put the other ones on.
