Im slowly getting my car the way I want it, what sucks is I have to go through all the previous owners work and fix it or do it the way I want it done.
Anyways I was trying to get the cruise to work so I installed the factory steering wheel, (had an afternarket ebay one) and installed the actuator and cable under the hood for the cruise. (this was missing, I got it off of a 93 Si)
The light on the dash comes on, but the light in the cluster does not. Another thing that I noticed while going over the car is the fact that it used to be an automatic. The little slider switch for the gear selector is still under the console in the N position, I guess so the car will start. Is there any other switch I should look for that would be preventing the cc from working? There is no clutch safety switch on this car, but I guess it wouldn't need it cuz the cc doesnt really know the car is a manual trans.

I think the proplem is your running the wrong ecu.
My thinking is, because that slider is in netural the computer is thinking the car is in netural and wont engage the cc because its not in gear (Safety Feature).
So Im thinking you would have to get the right ecu and wire it up correctly. I dont belive the clutch safety switch would be a factor, altho you should get one just for safety anyhow.

I just recently replaced my ECU with a p28 out of a manual car because the one I had was faulty and throwing a code 41 all the time. Maybe with the new ecu I will try to put the slider in D and see if it will allow me to start the car...
