Jun v-tec killer cam...kinda of expensive but if you put the money into a sohc motor, then you should get it.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Jun doesn't make camshafts for SOHC and they don't even make VTEC killer cams for that matter. Even if they did, for what reason would you think they would be better than say a Crower camshaft specifically made for a turbo application? Oh wait, maybe because "v-tec killer" sounds so damn cool.

Custom. AFAIK, none of those companies makes a good turbo-specific cam. But I could be making as big of an *** of myself as Street Inc.

I think a lot of people run the ZEX 59300. It's either 59300 or 59100. I believe the 59100 is the NA cam, though.

Is that really a good turbo cam? I was trying to find out if it was a turbo cam or not but all it says is "Street/Strip Performance. Dyno proven to add 12hp in stock applications with more on tap for modified applications."

Couldn't find where it said "Turbo Cam."

Why don't you get a custom ground cam? Crower makes one.
It maybe farley expensive, but I think it's worth it.
Especialy for you're applictation, just make sure you know what profile to choose, to cordinate with your turbo application.

i'm having the same situation with my Y8, i'm planning to put the Greddy turbo kit on it this summer, and i'm looking at the Crower stage 2 street/strip cam.

it says titanium retainers and springs are reccomended, but are the stock springs and retainers strong enough for the time being?

i have a zex 59300 cam in my z6 it is soo much better than the stock one, i have a fully build z6 running 20+psi and i felt such a massive improvement over the stock cam it was amazing, and zex does make a turbo specific cam the 59500 but it really hasnt been released.

Get the zex 59300 you wont be disappointed

No, get the retainers and springs. Your stock ones will be hard pressed to take that kind of beating.

Weird though, how does a NA cam work better than a turbo designed cam? Infact, how the heck do they work even close to the same?!

Lol, I wonder if people stop to realize how the vetc killer cams actually work.

Here...I'll giv eyou the basics. BIG *** cam lobe that only makes power from 5000+ and gives you absolutely HORRIBLE idle, street driveability, and needs a bunch of other parts/tunign to even work at all. It is 100% racecar only stuff.

Oh yeah, it was also produced to get rid of oil prssure fluctuations in sustained race applications. It is absolutely pointless in a car that is not completely dedicated to trakc useage.

Zex 53900 would be my choice also. Except where when I toss in my D15B I would use it's stock cam as its fairly aggressive.

Isn't the point of an FI application supposed to cram as much air into the cylinder as it possibly can? Wouldn't a short duration hinder this?

There is alot more that goes into cam design thatn jsut the lfit/duration. I've seen some pretty wicked NA cams for GM motors that run an abolutely ridiculous amount of duration.
