Vibration at high speeds after gettting stuck.
My wife's CRV (which is a jacked up civic) got stuck in the mud yesterday morning.I parked it on some soft grass/dirt and it rained like crazy that night. When she went to drive it it dug itself a whole.
So basically it sat there for 24 hours and I got a truck to pull it out.Washed off the mud on suspension and everything. Now on the highway the steering wheel vibrates like crazy, including the dash. Its only around 60mph and up.
Anybody know what this might be?Something loose or need aligning?

I know you said you rinsed the suspension well, but I'd double check the insides of the wheels. There's probably some mud in there acting as crazy wheel weights.
Thats what I was thinking. But I washed off a good part of the dried mud.Shouldnt the shaking be noticeably less by removing 90%?
A small amount of mud in the wrong place goes a long way inside a wheel. Just think about how small the weights are that they use to balance the wheel/tires. I'd take them off and clean them good. Your tires will wear unevenly if you don't get all of the mud out.

exactly, in only takes a little to throw off the vibration.
Also to check is when your was bogging around in the mud, did she throw a weight off by accident? Check for that also.

Thats what I just got done doing.I havent tested it yet but there was still a chunk of dried mud inside the wheel that I missed.
Hopefully thats all it was.

I know with my golf GTI if there's ANY snow caked on the inside of the rims it'll feel like I have a flat when going 65+ oppose to the normal perfect ride up to over 100 where it's not perfectly smooth :-\
Definately mud on the inside of hte rim, carwash = high pressure washer = wash the inside of the rims well, it'll drive really well, it makes sense if you think about it, to balane ur tires they put weights of as little as a 1/4 oz weight...so if that'll throw off the weight of the tire, so will a bit of mud
