I have recently found the owner of my integra on H-T. His name was FusionITR, and lived in Cali. I really need to ask him some questions about the car and things like that.
So if anyone remembers him, I would greatly appreciate the help. I know that he is probably driving an STI now.
Heres one of the reasons I need to speak to him:

I'm going to go ahead and say that he was an idiot. I have spent the last 3 years fixing the stuff he messed up on a perfectly good R.
Yes, at this point I am very frustrated. This is the guy that wired his 9006 bulbs with household speaker wire!
And I just really need to know what else happened to the car. I may not be the greatest guy on earth, but I really think that I saved this R's life

how is my comment ignorant? integras are the most stolen car in the us, and type-r's are one of the highest stolen per capita. Would you rather lose 15-20g's in a mere second a pay a few grand a year to make sure you dont lose it?
Any type-r owner should know that theft is a huge part of owning our cars, why the hell would you not put full coverage on it?? If you cant afford it, dont buy one! its better then losing 15-20g's!!!

you are a complete dumbass, if you cant afford the insurance then why buy a $18,000~ dollar car? priorities, u idiot. And no kidding, any car can be stolen, thats why you have full coverage!!! Liability is for POS cars, or cars you can easily shell out few bucks to fix.

Wow....pretty heated in here. Obviously different views of opinions.
Let's remember that liability is the basic coverage one must carry by law. It is irrelivent of how much money you make.
Someone said that the Type-R is the #1 stolen car per capita. That is false. There were only 3000 some odd made. The Integra would be a true statement. With that being said, common sense should rule all and tell you that if you don't want to be screwed out of hard earned money, you should carry the proper coverage in case something happens.
Ultimately, we all make our own decisions. You choose weather or not you have full coverage. If you cannot afford it, and if your investment is important to you, you will find the means TO afford it. There is really no excuses about it.

i had only liability coverage on my R. however, with comprehensive coverage as well. another suggested add-on would be gap insurance for those who are currently financing their R. regardless, full coverage is pretty damn expensive for these Rs. as of right now, my car is for sale and have no insurance.
i can only pray that my car does not get stolen.
liability + comprehensive is the safest, yet most cost-effective way to insure our cars while remaining legal. so to the guy that keeps thinking full coverage is the only and proper way to go, you're definitely wrong as many in here have agreed.

Yeah basically...I remember he was always coming in and asking us how to do all this crazy stuff to his car, while not properly insuring it.

If you can't afford full coverage on an ITR, you shouldn't own one.
I'm usually pretty sympathetic to those people who don't tie up all their loose ends...but come on now. Your logic is...well...non-existent.

If anyone ever got to the point that they were starving and barely getting by, I'd think the first thing they'd get rid of is their $25K Integra. Having a nice car isn't a right. If you can't afford it, dont do it. Buy a $700 EF and put liability on that. You don't get liability-only on the most stolen car in the USA. There is no way you can continue to defend this argument.
FusionITR is lucky his car was recovered, otherwise he'd have been in a world of financial hurt. He was an idiot and I'm glad to see his car went to someone who appreciates it.

And you're still not covered in the event of a hit-and-run, or at least you aren't in NC.
