Default 06 si vs my eg hatch

ok, i'll try to keep this tech related as possible, its kinda iffy, if it gets deleted oh well. i have a 94 hatch with a jdm b18c and i/h/e and chipped p28, rota slipstreams, coilovers. and i went to a auto show today and saw the 06 si, i was very impressed with this car and i want it, but id' have to sell my hatch. this is a really hard decision because i fell in love with the 06 when i saw it, but i'm very attached to my eg. what would u guys do?

Keep the hatch. I like how the 06 looks (Sort of...) but it won't be nearly as fast.

I raced an 06 Si in my EG hatch. Didnt think much of the new car until I saw it pulling away from me at around 100mph. We pulled over and chatted for a while about the car. Then he let me drive it up and down the road a little bit. I was very impressed. I use to have an 01 civic with a K20A2 swap, and this car was a completely different experience. I loved it! Great feel, car felt great around turns, comfy seats, etc. If I had the opportunity, I would sell my hatch and get one. K series motor has a load more potential.
BTW, the 06 Si had a custom intake mod done, and thats all that was done to beat my hatch. My hatch has a JDM B16A, Skunk2 stage 1 cams, Skunk2 ECU upgrade, AEM CAI, DC Header, Magnaflow catback, motor mount inserts, Clutch flywheel, LSD. At that time I still had my back seats, my girlfriend in the car, and my car has AC and PS. We went from about a 20mph roll, so cant blame it on the launch.

You know, I wouldnt believe it if I read it either. But yea, we pulled over, chatted for a while, and he let me drive it. Of course I left my car there with him, and I just basically went up the road still in sight, and back. Wasnt like a 10 minute test drive or anything.
Hes on this board, I can go get his screen name, and he can back up the story. Super nice guy. Just another honda tuner like the rest of us.

His screen name is tRex99

i can get 7 from my hatch, thats plenty. and i'm sure i can get the 06 at least as fast as my hatch is right now with some light mods. i've heard some great things about k series motors with a good tune and some air flow mods

Go with the 06 Si, if i could afford one i would already have one. It shouldnt be that hard of a choice, a nice new car with a k series engine that has a nicer exterior and interior then an old clunky eg hatch. Go Si
