if it were me and i had the extra cash i would get a new one. that way you dont have to worry about replacing it for a while.

i know.. i just dont want to have to spend the money if i dont have to... i'll only be driving this car until december... so i'd put about another 10,000 miles on it/the clutch.

u run the risk of it going bad once installed and then replacing it again and dropping the tranny

.....yes i realize this, but if the clutch is in good condition, there is no reason why it would fail.

Can anyone tell me about how much life is left on my clutch???

well if thats the case i would just slap that puppy back in there and give it a go. it doesnt look to bad imo. good luck

P.s. when i pulled my old d15 my clutch looked way worse than that one, and it ran without any problems

Thank you, that was the type of response I was trying to get.

Anyone else have opinions?

you are to poor to buy a 90$ clutch why ask if that was the response you wanted was to just keep it. that clutch looks like it has a lot of wear way more than my 100k clutch that i replaced

No i'm not too poor to buy one, but why spend money if I dont have to? If this clutch has 20k left on it, i'll throw it back in... if it has 3k, i'll swap it. Also, I dont know if it's worth the downtime... i gotta get this car back on the road and getting another clutch would take another week....

I didn't want people to tell me to keep it. i was asking for that TYPE of response. One of the two answers:

1. it looks like it's got some life left, use it.
2. looks a little worn, you should replace it.

pick one.

Just measure the clutch thickness. If its 5.5 mm then replace. A new clutch will have 8.5 mm - 9.1 mm of thickness.

From the looks of it, it seems as though the clutch will work for 10k.

Don't buy a clutch from autozone. Get the exedy replacement or street clutch. At least thats what I would do if it was me.

Replace it Hunter. I'm not interested in dropping the tranny agian.

Actually, get it mic'ed and see how thick it is. You might not need to do anything to it.

I've had mine off 3 times. I'm not interested in doing them any more than I have to.

No big deal. We'll get it all put back in next weekend. Just call me earlier so we have some more time.

Go get some damn PB Blaster and some kind of teflon spray before we put anything back together too.

Well get me on a Saturday or something then man. I'll stay as late as it takes on a Saturday as long as I can crash back at your place instead of driving all the way home. Sunday nights suck for me.
