Default Alignment?

Ok I have my car sitting on some tockico blues and some eibach springs. My inner tread on my front tires is wearing down rapidly. I have no camber kit. Not many places will align my car because they don't know the specs it should be done at. What specs should I have them do?

I know that I must set toe to zero, but is there anything else I should have them do?

that dosent make any sense they can give u an alignment and get the car to drive straight but they cant fix your camber problem unless u have a camber kit

If your lowered around 2"+ I would get a camber kit. If you want the specs factory then Sears should have no problem doing it. I lowered my car today and I work there. The tech who helped does alignments and our computers have the factory specs in there for CAMBER, CASTER, and TOE.

take it anywhere besides that shop, if they say they dont have the specs they are pulling your leg, and must not want your business. when lowered you will have more tire wear then stock, but with correct toe settings it wont be substantial. take it to a shop, and if they sound even a little weary about doing it go somewhere else, you will find somebody that doesnt mind helping people out and knows what they are doing and they will get you straight.

So what you guys are saying is: just have the shop set my toe to zero and have them set everything else to factory specs.

yes camber wear is not as serious as toe wear... most wearing on the inside of the tire is due to toe not camber. common misconception.

get your toe zero'ed out.

no what i was saying is set the TOE to factory specs, and dont worry about anything else, there isnt caster adjustment on civics and unless you got camber kits the camber cant be adjusted.

see this is where it gets confusing. I was told to set the toe to zero by other people casue thats whats causing my tire wear. So what do I do set it to factory specs or to zero. I don't know who to listen too, can someone say something?

well, its like this, factory specs have a range, i believe the range for front is like -.08 to .05 or something like that. it doesnt have to be perfectly at 0°, but that will be the optimal setting. just tell the shop to set the toe and you will be good. on mine with eibach sportlines (2.5" drop i believe) i couldnt even get the rear into specs, damn close, but still a little toe in, not enough to worry about or show much wear, but be prepared to get a few "NOs" before finding a shop to actually spend the time on your ride.

i do not have camber kits, i used longer bolts and some washers in the rear to get the camber to -1.5° which is right at the line of specs. my tires are holding up pretty well, i think i have about 50k on my 195/60/15 el cheapos and about 50% tread across the board.
