Brake Fluid Recommendations for the S2000
I tried searching, and didn't find any topics specifically for the S2000. My brake fluid and clutch master cylinder fluid are in desparate need of changing. I do some autocrossing, and evenutally I'd like to do some road racing since I'm near Limerock Park and I know people who have done it and they love it.
Do anyone have any recommendations on brake fluid that won't damage the braking system. I've heard Motul Dot 3 is really good.. ideally I want something better then the stock fluid, something that will resist brake fading better.
Any advice?

Watch what you put in there!
Synthetic doesn't always mean "good" or "better". Most synthetics that I've seen (and I could be very wrong) are DOT 5, which is NOT compatible with DOT3 or DOT4 systems. Cars are DOT3, and DOT4 fluids, most of them, are compatible with DOT3.
If you recommend ATE Super Blue or Motul 600, you should also preface why: it has a higher boiling point. This means you will not boil your brakes. But if you only drive on the street, or even the twisties, you will never, and I mean never, reach a boiling point. Heck, not even in an autocross. Having a higher boiling point, the fluids are also more prone to condensation and water. This is bad. This will make your brakes turn to mush after a while. Bleeding the brakes will need to be done a few times a year. If you are sitting there saying to yourself, "nah, it aint so!" Well, try to bleed your brakes tomorrow, tell me if there is a difference.
BTW, a good deal would be Ford Heavy Duty. It is cheap and works great. If it is a dedicated track car, there are also 70 bottles of fluid out there if you really want the best stuff. It isn't worth it. Ford HD works just fine fine fine.
Best of luck.

Valvoline Syn Brake fluid is DOT 3/4 and boiling is near 500 dry (I think dry?).</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ok you guys have conviced me to stick with the Stock Honda fluid for now... since I won't be road racing this year or next either, unless I hit the lotto....
Plus if I'm extremely luckly I'll be able to buy new pads and rotors this year.. but maybe not.
Either way the fluid has to be changed, so I guess I'm gonna stick stock Honda and yes, I don't mind paying 5 extra bucks just to see Honda on the label. I know it's the right fluid!
Thanks all for your opinions / recommendations

I'll second ATEs brake fluid. I use this stuff for all of my cars. Not only is it great brake fluid, it is also relatively inexpensive. The other nice thing is that you can buy ATE one time (amber color) and Super Blue (same company but the fluid is blue). This ensures that you fully flush the fluid.
Tommy, you should check out some of the LRP SCCA events! As for HPDEs at LRP, SCDA is top notch. Hope to see you at the track some time.

My apologies. I forgot to type OR, which would make it look like so:
