Mugen Carbon Hard Top (S2000) $4999., Tech2motorsports.com
good people, no worries
but why not get it through kingmotorsports.com directly. you should get it much faster than going through tech2

i don't think king carries any in stock, it's gotta come from japan. we've been waiting for a spoon one for i think 2 months now just to come available. the company that makes them for spoon (the name escapes me) just isn't producing them.
and 4999 is a great price, that's lower then our price.

the mugen hardtop in CF is for looks but more so lighter weight and better aero. Will most owners of it use it properly? NO, only those who are in amateur racing will.

Good answer. I have had my mits on this hard top a few times. It is incredibly lightweight. You can stand on it without any flex! I haven't but know of someone who did when in Japan at the Mugen plant. What is so special about it? Autoclave! Incredibly lightweight. Mounting hardware is extra.
Also, I doubt Tech2 would have them in stock, unless they bought one for a customer and the customer cancelled on them. If you get it from anyone other than a retailer that works with King, or King themselves (Scott & Bob), and if you should have any troubles whatsoever, you are pretty much screwed. That's just how it works with Mugen parts and King being their sole US distributor.

Weight savings: -40 lbs. Aero efficiency increases.
First there was the "JDM bandwagon." Now there's the "Bash JDM bandwagon". Know what you're talking about before you talk smack. The Mugen HT is good for a few mph on the top end due to aero efficiency, but you ricer fegs will never find out. Back to the integ/civic forum with you, troll.
I suppose that since my full underbody diffuser doesn't add any power, nor is made in Japan, you riceboys will bash it for sure cuz it's just "CF bling". Bring that DC to the tracks and prove it.

Uhmmm....unless something has changed, both Mugen hardtops I bought (FRP and CF) came with all the mounting hardware with purchase of Mugen hardtops. It was all new in Honda packaging at that.

This hardtop is not for window shoppers like you.
maybe one day you will be able to afford a used imitation one, but you have to give them some respect.
You are looking for additional horsepower, but you don't know what weight savings can do to a car, especially taking a turn. You are probably a straight line racer from what i see.
I'd like to see you try to make an original hard top that is better then what mugen has to offer.
