VIS CF...
I recently bought the hood (OEM Style for my hatch) from a guy locally brand new and it looks awsome, especially for only 250. I was just wondering if there's anything I need to do to get proper fitment, or if it is truly a direct bolt on affair like the guy said it should be. Also if anyone has the CF hatch out here in So cal that wants to sell it I'm looking for that.
Thanks in advance!

Sweet!
Just out of curiosity, are hood pins really neccesary? Some people have said no(because it does have a latch on it), but others say yes because the latch is weak and can easily break. Not sure what to do as far as that
. And if they are neccasarry, are their any differences in quality between some cheap kit (like an APC or Hayame) or a more expensive kit (like a sparco or mugen)

should be fine without hood pins but get it just to be on the safe side.

to me hoodpins are hoodpins, as long as there installed the right way
i have a friend with a cf hood w/o pins never had a problem, also have another friend with cf hood w/ pins before he got the pins the hood flew off twice

'Nough said, I think I'll play it safe, and get a set.

i thing about my vis cf hood is that the holes for the washer nozzles are too small for the oem washers. I had to trim the stock washers quite a bit in order to fit it in the cf hood.

all of the old ViS products have very good fitment...but from what ive heard and seen, a lot of t he newer stuff doesnt fit that great...and recently i had a guy show me his CF hatch for EG and it stuck out a good inch and 1/2 and leaked water into the car (ViS as well)

VIS hoods and trunks have great fitment...mine were so easy to install and lined up perfectly! As for the hood pins...like everyone else said it's not "necessary" but it's not a bad idea for added security. I have had a cf hood for the past 2 years without hood pins and never had a problem so it's all a personal preference!
