creative mp3 player to an alpine 9847?
i got some rca cables that also have a jack into the headphone output to my mp3 player. the thing is i cannot get it to play through my car deck. i can get it to play if i connect it directly to my amp but then i cannot get much volume. any advice?
i also went to best buy and the audio dude sold me an aux input/output cable and said that would work most of the time even with rca outputs. it didn't. i'm pretty pissed cause i just went driving around town tryin to get this to work heh

u need a radio that has aux inputs. then buy that cable that has a mini adapter on one side and two rca plugs on the other its really simple.
get an Ai-Link to RCA adaptor from best buy or online. only like $20 at a store like BB. I do this with my creative zen micro. get those free songs from rhapsody !
with that adaptor you can enable the AUX-in in the setup menu. its pretty easy

the deck he has currently has an aux input. your reply just wasn't specific enough, thats all. but you are right to say that he needed a cable that adapted from RCA to 1/8" plug. but in the case of his HU, thats only half the battle.
