I'm assuming that he wants it to make an exhaust. I doubt the titanium fabrication would even bother with an order for 12' of tubing. The second company is in China and their minimum order is probably 20-25 metric tons.
K20, if you want to make an exhaust out of titanium, don't. It's a waste of money.

He was looking for sources.I have found by calling the manufacturer they will get me in touch with their smaller buyers who will sell me 12 feet. Many times its as easy as asking who was the last company to order 3" tubing. Its always worth a call.

what the hell can you do with titanium tubing that you cant do with another type of tubing??
unless you're building a reactor or jet engine or something like that, I think it's a waste of time/money to be able to say you've got titanium....

i thought titanium was actually pretty reactive when heated and can get pretty oxidized, or so what happened in my manufacturing lab... mind you this is pure titanium.
I think it is really going to depend on the grade of Ti being welded some being more reactive then others. We have welded CP-2 in a traditional welding manner, argo shielding gas tig process and an argon backpurge

You can do it with a simple backpurge setup
