Well I hear alot of people slamming the fact that the h22 cant go to 9000 like the b series. I dont understand why the h makes gobs more torque it doesnt need 9000 rpms to get scootin.

I rev my H22 to 9000 rpm. It's not stock, but anyone who tells you it can't be done is ignorant.

People who say that probly thinkin of stock h22s, cause they make their peak power at 7200 rpms, not as high as alot of b series. Now if u go with some after market parts for an h22, with money for parts and tuning you can get it to rev just as high as a b series engine can and still make power.

I rev our car out 10,000 rpm no problem and by the way its also not stock. On my stock h22 I would rev that out till about 8500-9000 rpm also.

What do u need to get it ro rev safely at 9000 rpms anyway? And how much would it cost?

Nothing is done to either tranny but I noticed new gears and syncros make a world of a diffrence sometimes. The only thing diffrent on our race hatch is the shifter cables run through the firewall insted of under the car.

you need good valves, valve springs, retainers, cams that can make power that high, and tuning. But you don't need to rev to 9k to make good power, especially on larger displacement motors.
