Default Need some help.

ok, so i posted a problem before. it was a turned out to be the 02 sensor. i have a 91 rex with d15b vtec obd1. i did the conversion to run p28 and dizzy. ok, heres the problem. i have a reman distributer from autozone, lifetime warranty. When im driving and change gears, i get a backfire right when i hit the gas again. could this be something to do with the distributer. i have no codes at all, just the vss(speed sensor). it will feels like it falls on its face once and awhile. what could it be?????
thanx in advance.

did you set your timing when you put the new distributor on? cause timing being off will cause that.

haha ya, it has to be the timing.

I went untimed for 3 months when I changed the distributor on my brand new swap. Each time I would let off the gas after heavy acceleration it would backfire. Right after I set my timing it made it all better.

well, when i did the swap and put a new water pump and timing belt and reset the timing. the distributer was bought at the same time, cuz the motor didnt come with one. i center the distributer and made sure that the rotor inside was pointing at the #1 cylinder. it doesnt backfire when a release the gas. it only happens when i shift than press the gas again is when it happens. thanx for the replies but anymore ideas. im gonna return the dizzy and get a new one under the warranty.
