Default Dyno'd my 06 Si (stock).

Well, I got within 5 of what I predicted for myself. That being said, I'm not really disappointed. Looking at my A/F it would appear I am running fairly rich? But I definately think it has a little bit of potential... just not real sure what I want to do with the car yet.

Me: 06 Civic Si. Bone Stock.

The peak numbers are what I expected, I am VERY dissapointed with my torque curve (see 115 pre-VTEC). The car really doesn't do much until right at 6k, and you can see the massive dip and spike at crossover. I look foward to Hondata support to help smooth that crossover, and lean it out a little from where it's at (11.5 AFR). Tuning should help tremendously. At least that's what I hope. We shall see.

Videos of runs up later tonight. Nothing special, just a visual and some engine noises.

this is true... I guess I was hoping for it to be a little more... at the risk of sounding amateur, flat. I had a few other friends dyno their cars today (RSX-S, Prelude SH, ITRs, etc.), and they all had flatter curves, and stayed within 5 of their peak tq early and throughout the entire range. Mine is all over the place, 115 to 130, etc.

I think honda made it run rich too avoid running lean. Have you broken your car in yet?? I assume you have but you know what people say when you assume.

Yes and no... the car had 850 miles on it when dyno'd. Babied her until 600. And then she saw redline maybe a total of 10-15 times before dyno. So I mean, she's no longer a virgin, but she's far from fully broken in.

Nice plot. Cant wait to play with one. I am sure with tuning and quality I/H/E over 200 to the wheels is EASILY obtainable.
We milked out 235 to the wheels on the K20 EM1 HC car and rules ONLY allow I/H/E and tunable ECU. SO MUCH POWER is in the tune...

Yes. Homemade intake, R Crew header, turndown. When we first started, put down about 196. Throughout the season, made a few tuning changes. Last tune was on some special race gas (oxygenated ) and made some final tweaks. AF was a flat 13.5 across.

A flatter, smoother torque curve would be nice.

what kinda dyno is that? if its not a dynojet you cant really compare the numbers to one.

It does seem like it is close in readings to a dynojet though.

and that A:F takes a dive up top. Look at the power curve, and look at the fuel curve. You can see how it affects the power as soon as the fuel starts dumping.

And the thing still was still gaining power with mid 10's A:F (which is horrible)

Every new '06 Si I've seen at dealers has had carbon build up on the exhaust tip. This would lead me to believe they run rich. And to never buy one unless it comes right off the truck into my possesion.

115 tq is dissapointing from a 2.0L.

also looks like your vtec it hitting too late? right? looks like if it hit at about 5200 youd be better off

tuning should give you maybe 6-9 HP
and maybe 5-8 TQ

With the A/F's like that, I would assume the same type of gains.

Nice numbers.

Yay -- my EP's torque measured on a Dynojet (yeah, I know it's different) at 131 ft-lbs with i/h/e... just wish it had the extra revs, though...

FWIW, my exhaust's tip interior also collects enough soot after a few drives. A/F came out at a consistent 13-to-14:1 top to bottom measured at the muffler, too.

Hopefully he's using 91 or 93 octane, whichever you can get in your area. I'd assume so, but with the prices recently, some people might be stupid...

the k20z3 redlines past 8300rpm?!

and it's strange to see the torque curve being concave pre-vtec.
