Default car boggs at 3000 RPM

I did a b16A into my 90 CRX DX and it runs great... except when it gets around 3000 to 3500 rpm then it start to bogg alittle and then after that its fine any one have any ideas?

Do a tune up. Check timing and make sure the ECU is the right one. Sometimes having the wrong ECU floods the engine a bit and makes it bog.

I did a tune up and the ecu is the PR3. If I start out in 2nd gear it doesnt do it. what else could it be

When my distributor started to go, it made skip at a certain rpm...didnt bog though. Something for you to try if you can get one off a buddy's car or something.

is your check engine light on if so what code it also can be your 02 senser my b16a swap was doing the samething and i was getting code two and i changed it and i was good

The check engine light is on, but its code 14 whats that? And how do I fix it?

Idle Air Control Valve its on the back of the intake manifold, make sure its plugged in.. how does the car idle? did you have that code before the swap? if not, change the idle air control valve

on a few swaps ive done, the iac trips out the first couple of min. usually when i turn the car off, run it, turn off, run it... it goes away

check the v-tec wiring harness if it boggs out at 3000 rpm or it might be a vacum problem
