Default swaybar, crx

Im going to be getting 22 mm front and rear sway bars for my 91 si. I've heard stories about subframe tear outs- is this something I should be concerned about with a 22 mm bar?

Default Re: swaybar, crx (SiRay13)

skip the front bar. guys (well, on this continent anyway) that know go smaller, or none at all if they change it. just leave it stock.

22 is good for the rear.

tearout is a problem on some later cars where the bar mounts to the subframe and it isnt reinforced enough.

oem style crx rear bars don't attach to the subframe, so there is no issue here.
