Default Spoon head gasket for H22a, worth the investment?

A friend of mine is going to tear down his prelude vtec and wanted to know if the Spoonsports headgasket is a worthwhile investment. How much more compression does it provide? How much more torque needs to be applied to the head bolts considering it is a thinner gasket? Has anyone installed it on this board?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

it is a 2ply headgasket
and I believe the compression gets bumped up .2 , so if your at 10:1 now, your compression goes to 10.2:1
I believe the cost is about 100~110US

I decided to go with a OEM headgasket myself, and I believe that the torque is 71~72lbs/ft for the head bolts. I don't see why you'd wnat to devate from that?

You can look at this two ways.....
1) every bit helps and if your running 11:1, 11.2:1 isn't too bad for 100bucks
2) this will throw some timing off, because the head gasket is thinner yea head will be closer to the block and cam sprockets may not align perfectly(but adjustable cam sprockets should fix that).

Personally I decided against it but that was just my personal choice I guess. If you head is off....might be a good idea to try it?
