The radio (clarion) in my car will not respond to my remote or the buttons on the faceplate after I have the car on (time varies 5min-1hr) and it won't turn off after I turn the car off, I have to disconnect my battery to turn the radio off. I've had the deck for two years now and wonder if this is something I can troubleshoot myself or not. help needed TIA.
The problem is inside the HU, you will need to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed, that may cost more then it's worth, or you can wire both the constant and acc power to the oem acc. power wire so when you turn off the ign. there is no power going to the unit, [just like disconnecting the batt.] and just like disconnecting the batt. you will loose the clock and radio presets.

Yeah, I was afraid it was the deck it self and not the wiring. I just didn't get enough play time out of the radio since I only listened to it about one year out of the two I've had it. Thanks alot fcm.
