SOHC ZC Swap Upcoming: Got a few Questions...
Well, took my car in to get fixed, and they wanted to do a valve job, cylinder bore, etc, for $1300 because my #2 cylinder wasn't even firing. Well, obviously, I said expletive that and now i'm looking to get the ever-so cheap, SOHC ZC replacement.
My question is, I know you can re-use your stock tranny, axles, radiator, mounts, etc. but is there anything that I cannot re-use? I'm just buying a longblock off of H-motors, so the main parts that I am concerned about are the ECU and shift linkage. Are they re-useable? And if you know of anything else that cannot be re-used please say something! I have a very low budget for this project and only want to replace what is absolutely necessary!

I've done this swap. Mounts are reusable. Tranny is reusable, and preferred so you don't have the mid shaft. Axles will then be reusable. If you use the midshaft and the ZC tranny (longer gears aswell, get an Si tranny) you will need the ZC axles (also 88-89 Integra axles work). Shift linkage are the same. ECU you will need a SOHC ZC one of a D16A6 one.
Rad? Why wouldn't the rad be the same...
Basically, you just wanna swap the head and block. No problem. You will need to do MPFI wiring if you have DPFI.

Oh the dizzy, you need a D16A6 or SOHC ZC only. Should come with the motor. I have a spare one with a cut plug if you are desperate, don't ask me why the plug is cut I got it for free cause of that.
You will need to convert your harness, you will need a plug of an Si harness for the dizzy.

Here's the motor. Dizzy is included, but an engine harness is not. What do I need to convert my STD harness to fit the ZC?

consider the bare engine (crankcase and head) to be totally swappable with your current engine. just swap all the intake and distributor stuff.
if you want to use the MPFI stuff that is with the engine, then youre looking at just doing a DPFI to MPFI swap along with your engine swap. which, i suppose is no big deal with rywire harness and whatnot.
