Car pulling to the right...
My car is a 99 Prelude in stock form.
I had new tires put on about one month ago and ever since it has developed this strong pull to the right. I had the alignment checked out twice, but to no avail. I also took it back to the tire place. They moved the tires from the front to the back, and from the left to the right, but it always still had the same pull to the right no matter what tire placement combination they tried.
Yesterday I took it to another shop to have them look at it. They just did a test drive and looked at the axles and stuff I believe, but they couldn't find anything wrong. I told them I had the tires moved around, and the alignment done twice, yet it still pulls to the right. They think it's the alignment... but I'm thinking it is not. I don't want to waste money on another alignment...
What else could be causing the car to pull to the right?
(It's a pretty hard pull, at highway speeds, if I let go of the wheel, the car will be in the next lane in about 3 seconds or less)

i have the same problem in my 98 base prelude. i have 17" wheels with 205/45-17 tires, but if i put on the stock 16" wheels and 205/50-16 tires the pull goes away. then i put my 17" on my friends 97 base prelude, and i noticed a pull to the right as well.
if you go to a tire shop on an online tire shop, they will tell you i have the correct tire size for 17" wheels on a prelude. but if you place the 17" wheels/tires next to the 16" wheels/tires then you will see the 16" wheel/tire combo is taller my about 1".
i have had my car aligned, but the fact that the pull comes and goes as the car is lowered and raised (smaller 17" wheel/tire combo lowers car by about 1" remember?) makes me think that the pull has to be alignment related. and i would think that your problem is also alignment related. trust me i know its a bitch, but its just one of those things that you have to tinker with forever until you get it just right.
i am planning on getting new tires around summer, and i will be taking my car to a performance shop, that also happens to do alignments for race cars, so they should know what they are doing and hopefully be able to solve my problem. i will let you know how it goes if you would like.

Maybe your just noticing that your car has traction now. Afterall your drive tire is your front left so technically it should pull to the right a lil. How bad is it? Like suggested maybe you did some damage to the suspension.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to have this other shop do the alignment. They had it up on the lift and didn't notice any damage.
Another piece of info that I should mention is that I had the alignment done at a Honda dealership. I took it in late November to have the alignment done, got the car back and it still pulled to the right. So I took it back to the Honda dealership to have the alignment checked in early December. They said that they just got a new alignment machine that is super precise and they did find that some of the specs were out of order. BUT the car still pulled to the right. I'm thinking that there is a strong possibility that they just did not do the alignment correctly. What are the chances that the alignment specs would be that far off in such a short amount of time.
But I'm still interested to see what others may say or have experience with a car having a strong pull to one side.

this happened to my car for the longest time and i couldnt figure out what the hell was wrong. I got a lift and checked EVERYTHING and found that I was missing a the radius rod bushing on the right side. I dont know how in the hell it worked its way loose, but it did and the threads started eating through the subframe where the rubber support was supposed to be. Luckily I found the rubber piece and just used a huge washer and locknut to seal the deal. Now everything is fine. Check it out......could be the case.
