Default Painting wheels ?

Does aircraft stripper harm polished lips? Im thinking of painting some black with polished lip wheels and want to make sure I dont have to mask off the lip before stripping the paint. Also, I want the wheels to be silver, what silver looks better, the one that is left over from stripping the paint or should I go duplicolor. There are TONS of topics on this but alot of them are old and no longer contain pics, or do not have a step by step proccess pics. Any help/pics or links to help/pics would be appreciated

no it doesnt harm the lip
i used it on my mugen cf-48's and they turned out fine
stay with the original polished lip.
no need to mask the lip off, other colors of silver wont give you the same look

strip the paint
rinse them clean
scuff the areas to be painted
mask off any areas where you dont want paint
spray a few light coats and hopefully theyll turn out fine

ill look for pics to help you out

if you use aircraft stripper on your polished lip it will stain! tape off the lip then use aircraft stripper then use high temp. BUT first scuff the inner area thats taped off w/ sand paper after the aircraft stripper and then put down a couple layers of primer then your silver and you'll be VERY happy! good luck
