Default what pistons on a h23 vtec

what are the best choises u guys have, a buddy tells me to put type-s but wont that raise the comp too high. I need something relaible but dont want to leave the h23 pistons in the block. any body have a idea whats the comp with h23 piston h22a/type-s.

If you put h22 pistons in a h23 block, the h22 piston will stick out of the block. Just get h23 spec. pistons. You can go with Wiseco or CP. Others probably make h23 pistons, I don't know for sure.

what? they stick out of the block like how far? im considering this build and all i heard was they give you 12.5:1 cr or so

There was a recent thread about it. I didn't even know until I read the thread. They will stick out .020. Clay the engine to make sure it is okay. The H22 pistons are taller than the h23 pistons.

H23 VTEC w/....
H23 pistons: 9.3:1
USDM H22 pistons: 11.1:1
JDM H22 pistons: 11.6:1
Type-S H22 pistons: 12.3:1

IIRC, those are pretty damn close numbers.

What would those numbers be if the engine had an F23 crankshaft (97mm stroke)?

h23a or h23a#?? the actual vtec h23?? if your talking about the stock h23 vtec then yeah you can use type s thats what im running.
