ok my s20 is making some noise really pissing me off its like a grinding/whissing metal pining around noise when i push the clucth down to the floor the noise goes away but if its in netruel u hear it what is it please help

yup sounds like the throwout bearing. I would also research about the input shaft bearing as from what i can remember people have trouble with that one going on d series tranny's all the time.

Throwout bearing makes one of a kind noise....iono, for some reason you can hear that one sound and know htat it's the throwout bearing without even thinking twice about it, something specific about that sound

 

i vote input shaft bearing. Doing the tranny really isn't all that hard, but its not a piece of cake either. I had that problem, and found a few other bearings not in great shape either.
