^ KMS sells them. Most people make theirs out of aluminum. Up to you. As far as a CEL, some people get one and some dont. You can always reset the CEL.

I've done it on 5th gen and 4th gen lude, as long as you don't touch the vacuum or the wires the light stays off.

I want to remove all the EGR Components. Plug the I/M vacuum port, and install an EGR plate. This will leave two EGR plugs unplugged. Is there any way to remove the CEL code? Chip? Resister?

I don't know about resistors, but reprogrammable ECU's like Hondata or AEM will do it.

Im not a huge fan of running ecu in limp mode. If you really want to start disabling sensors you need to convert to obd1

egr cel wont run in limp mode, i have block off on my 4th gen, i get a cel every now and then, usually between 35-60mph at a consistant cruise. i just pop start it and it goes away. im lookin for a way to get rid of the CEL. and have been unseccesful

CEL is a poor result. For example you can drive with an o2 code but the ecu goes into safety mode and your killin power and just overall driveability

it doesnt go into safe mode. There are only a couple CEL's that will actually put the car in limp mode.

This is why disabaling the EGR is stupid as it only injects exhaust gases under the conditions described above. Not at WOT. It's only worth doing if you are going to epoxy fill the holes in the manifold and report the runners. and the only point of doing that is to get maximum performance out of the engine and help to not disrupt the airflow.
