Slightly OT: Repairing door dings
I have got the inevitable door ding (with no paint damage) and was wondering if it would be a good idea to try to massage it back into shape from the inside of the door (after remioving the panel). Are special tools required?
As far as I can tell, the Paintless Dent removal people seem to spend about 5 minutes massaging the dent out from the inside (unless they need to drill) and charge $100 for the privilege.

don't try it you'll never get it out and looking like new again just bring it to dentpro if you try it when you pop it out it's going to come out farther then straight then you have to tap around it untill it's straight pretty hard if you don't have anything to practice on
It is totally worth the 100 to get it done...considering that there is a better than 50% chance that you won't do it correctly and they will have to do it anyway. So I would just spend the money and have it done by a pro.
Yeah, no going off topic. Only Type-R door dents and other Type-R topics may be discussed in this forum, except for birthdays, and births of children by parents that are friends of moderators here.

Back to the original question.... Take the car to have the dent taken out. I doubt you could fix it back to perfect unless you were really, really lucky. I just had like 15-20 dents taken out this week by PDR. Farkin amazing to watch them work! dents disappear before your eyes! easily worth the money, but $100 does sound a bit high. or... you could just wait and I'm sure you'll get more dents. Then, when you take it in for PDR, the cost per dent will be less.

seriously, they do an absolutely fantastic job of making the sheet metal look as good as new. I just feels great having the car ding/dent free. In talking with the guy doing the job, he said he has had cases where people try to fix stuff themselves and he ends up unable to "unfix" their fix because of the hack jobs some people do. good luck, whatever you decide to do.
