Most people say they bought it for $30-$35. Where's that at? The places i've looked are about $45 shipping included.

i'd order the 3130 though. its the exact same size as the stock filter and can be modded to fit your intake just like the 2820

Isn't the 3130 smaller than stock, with a more conical shape? The 2820 is shaped exactly the same as stock, and is the same diameter as stock. If I didn't know it was universal I would swear it was meant to go in the stock airbox (after you attach it to the stock filter neck and the stock filter end cap). I highly recommend the 2820. My local AutoZone ordered it for me, $34.99 plus tax, picked it up 2 days later.

if u use the 3130 you have to use the top piece of your old filter as well(the flat round plastic part with the little rubber gromet that holds the air filter in place closest to the front bumber). also try to reroute the tubing on the bottom of the intake box to somewhere where cold air can be drawn into the air filter box. good luck!!

Thanks guys, I checked summit and they want about $45 shipped. Pepboys wanted $44.95. So I'm gonna check kragens and Autozone. Hopefully it'll be cheaper there.

 

I used the top piece of the old filter on my 2820. It was exactly the right diameter. I just drilled 4 holes in the plastic piece and used 4 small (3/4" long) wood screws I think to attach it to the rubber K&N endcap. The screws went in easily into the rubber. It probably doesn't hold it very tight, but it doesn't have to.

I have one for sale...it is used but in perfect working order. It is modified with the stock air filter to fit right into the stock airbox (ei. drop in). I will sell it to you for $20 if you're local. I'm kinda tired of shipping. I'm in Houston, TX

 

Yes, just remove the filter material from the stock filter elbow and attached the RU-2820. The RU-2820 is 0.5" shorter than the stock filter but this is made up by the mounting flange. Attached the white end cap and it looks just like the stock filter
