Default Skinnies, Let's talk skinnies tech

I was wondering if there are any pros/cons to running differen't size skinnies, say a 22x3.5x15 vs. 24x3.5x15 or even a 26x4x15? Is it just a matter of looks, or just the smallest tire is the lightest tire? I have no clue. Maybe someone with more knowledge could chime in. Thanks, Paul

Well a 15" rim will look better, and with a 24.0-15 x3.6 M&H we were able to get the right ride height we wanted. You want to go skinny. Plus, it is DOT and that is what you need for NHRA!

When u say the right ride height, are you referring to ride height for looks or for corner balancing? If so, how do we know that we are at the "right ride height".

We can turn this into a suspension tuning topic also

even at max height, sometimes u cant get the proper ride height/corner weight u need, so going to a bigger skinny (24.5 vs 22) will give u more to work with

wouldnt running a smaller diameter tire also help in lauching since there is less tire flex?.

Would like to know more as well.

I got 22" slick on 13x8 Bogarts with 24" rear skinnies on 15x3.5 skinnies.

Ordering a set of 23" M&H slicks to test out since upgrading to 1.8L, but was thinking of resizing the rear skinnies to 22". Ride height is set to clear 24" rear skinnies from rubbing rear fender well. Was planning to resize rear skinnies to 22" to be able to lower vehicle a bit more.
