Overwhelmed with the exhaust gasket choices.
94, EX, VTEC
What reason is there for 12 exhaust gaskets at the parts bin? Is this a marketing strategy, thinking that some people may opt for a higher price of the same exact thing. When I click on the photo for any of the Felpro gaskets the same picture comes up.
Besides the problem that a pic tells you nothing like an in hand comparison does, there is the ridiculous low price for a Walker $2.76, and an exorbitant $32.85 for an Ashino. I am looking for the best value (best quality for the price). Any techs here that have tried them all? Here is a copy of the gaskets available.

i think that pic is just to illustrate what it looks like/ alignment of the holes/etc.
just visit a local parts store & see for yourself. if the quality/flexability of the gasket are metallic/some are fiber?...

Look, forget the marketing hype. $32.99 for enhaust manifold gasket is highway robbery.
Quick rule of thumb:
Cast Iron Manifold on a Cast Iron Head: Asbestos gasket
Steel Manifold on an Aluminum Head: Steel/Asbestos gasket
What's important is a perfectly flat mating surface, sufficient retaining bolts and torque prevailing washers.

I'm convinced the $32.00 Gasket is offered by Ben-Dover Auto Supply.
These are the same people that supplied those $6,000. Toilet Seats for Air Farce One; and manufactured the mirror for the Hubble Space Telescope.
After a successful stint supplying the Federal Government, they are now offering parts for Japanese Sub-Compacts.
