What are the necessary documents needed to prove that your engine is legal? I ask because I plan on getting a swap soon and want to make sure i'm getting the right papers. ty

 

You just need a bill of sale.

 

receipt with complete engine #'s
and any factory engraved # that exist on it
+ receipt that shows the seller & buyer name/ address/date.

 

You could get all those info but if it's a stolen motor... You still lose...

This is just me... If I going to buy a engine I need the complete form from the trooper inspecting the engine and say it legit.
