Default offset question

Im getting new wheels for my 94 lude. whats the wheel offset?

Stock is 55mm, but you'll never find one that high. Don't go lower then 40mm or your wheels will stick out from the body. 39/40mm is flush

depends on the wheel width, but in general for wheels b/w 7 and 8" wide you're looking for an offset between 42 and 50. 8" has less lee-way, you'll want between 48 and 50. 7" is fine b/w 42 and 50 etc etc

so a 17x7 with a +42 offset would work fine on a 5th gen? Because that's what I just ordered...

I'm getting +43 and I should be fine according to my search in the past . The highest aftermarket you will find is +50 I think
