4ws question - plz help!
ok, I tried resoldering relay points, but stil giving the same problem. If I reset 4ws ECU by disconnecting battery, the 4WS works for 1 or at most 2 journeys, till I switch off engine, leave the car, on the engine and pull off again. The light goes off when I on the engine, but as soon as I move off it comes on. However once 4ws is reset, it works for the full journey! getting the ECU out was a big enough task, then resoldering the points, now i'm wondering what to do!
If I know the error code, you guys can help me with what the problem might be right? I have no idea how to get this error code, please someone explain i'm not v familiar with it all. error code would be a start and I know what I should be looking at.

It's the same way of getting the CEL codes. The 4WS light blinks just like the CEL light. Put a paperclip in the blue clip behind the center console (back behind the stereo).
It sounds like you are having a problem not related to the main relay soldering issue. If I were to guess right now, I would think your steering angle sensor is the problem. But again, that's a guess.
Get the code.

CEL stands for Check Engine Light.
You don't need to pull the stereo out to get to the connector. It is a little difficult to get to but you should be able to get to it by crawling into the driver's side footwell, and looking up towards the back of the stereo. It is a connector that is blue.
Honestly, if you can't find it, just take it to the dealer and ask them. I believe you are located in England, right? Do they have any shops equivalent to our AutoZone that can check it for you for free?
