I wanted to apologize to everyone for some of my negative comments regarding the NDRA and how they are handling the dismantling of Pro Stock and Comp4. I'm just bitter about it as many others are, and there's a better time and place to express my frustrations.

it takes a big man to knuckle up and say sorry... I give you props for doing so... lets see what the official word ends up being from Glenn and team

 

Guys I just wanna let you know that Glenn and the rest of the NDRA are really trying to get these classes going.

 

I know Glenn is a good guy just from reading his posts. It's just hard for me not to be angry after I spent the past year building this car for the NDRA rules and now last minute have to switch my schedule and some slight rule changes to race.

While it's not Glenn's fault (sorry if you took personal offense to anything I was saying), I'm still on the fence about Nopi and the NDRA. I just hope they get their act together.

im with you on this one too... was not like me to get heated but, we all needed to know along time ago....anticipation is the most frustrating thing to ever go through when your just wanting to know

 

Guys no Apologies needed or neccassary on this subject. I know all of the All motor guys are die hard, I have no hard feelings toward anyone about anything on this subject. Trust me, I know your frustrations and angers.

But on a lighter note: Pro Stock and Comp 4 are a go. New sponsor is in place as of late last night.

Big news there! Now half of my customers wont be mad about not being able to race with us this year. I'm glad it all worked out. GO NOPI!

BTW: Who ended up stepping up to the plate and sponsoring the classes?

Not at liberty to say. They wish to remain anonymous at this point, and probably won't attach their name to the class at any point. We will have to wait and see what they wish to do on that.

 

Just out of curiosity, why would someone sponsor a class and remain anonymous? What do they have to gain by doing that?

good question - what is the point of sponsoring a class but not gaining the recognition and exposure of doing so - doesn't that contradict what a "sponsor" is....things that make you go, hrmmmmm.....

 

They just won't have their name on the Pro Stock class. They will be listed as a Sponsor on the series, just not a class.
These guys are worried about the politics in Sport Compact Drag racing. This is their way to give back to their consumers without drawing extra attention to what they are doing.

I guess it is kind of like why GM does not sponsor a class that is dominated by Gary G., or Marty or any of the GM Cobalts and what not. Politics.
