06 civic si vs 04 audi a4.. thoughts?
ok... heres the thing...
I'm gettin an 06 civic si when they come back in stock...
one of my college buddies has an 04 audi a4 1.8 turbo (170hp and weights like g-sus.. 3252 lbs). He said he has a ecu upgrade which brought his audi to 215hp.
now every knows what the 06 civic si has (197hp, 2877 lbs, g-sus vtec, etc)..
now he claims (even wanted to bet me) that he can beat the civic si on the track course both in 1/4 mile and twisty.
I juss kinda of looked at him .. and laughed to myself (are u serious?)...
oh did i mention... his audi is an Automatic (pwnT)
thoughts??

Bench racing
Getting the car you want, and modding it to your satisfaction
Then take his *** to the track. I personally hate Audi, I was contemplating the new A4 stick, didn't like it as much as my Type-S not to mention I saved a lot by getting the Type-S. It's your choice test drive the cars and buy the one YOU like

Bench racing is impractical.
However, if/when you do find out for yourself, be sure to update us

Well said.
And yea just go to the track, if you never have been there before you will see how fun it is. And if you have been there you know fun it is, so do it.

215 hp with just an ecu upgrade is a little much, maybe embellishing a little. audi's suck. heavy and sluggish. My ep 3 Takes them, hatchback man. smoke his *** and shut another Audi punk up.

You would think so coming from the Honda world, but he is actually correct. The Audi's and Dubs with the turbos have chips out there that will give an instant 50 hp. Just plug and play. They come so de-tuned from the factory you wouldnt believe it.
On the question at hand, those Quattro Audi's hook up really well on the strip. If you are both on street tires I wouldnt want to mess with the A4, not to metion the Tiptronic gear boxes shift up really well. On a road course, whole different story.
