There was interest a while back in these, so yesterday I e-mailed Toda about getting some more, here is their response:

"Thanks for your inquiry. The jackets were a limited production run we had done here in the U.S. We had 30 jackets made and they all sold out a long time ago. If you guys are interested, we can do a limited run for you guys with some changes to make it different from the old one, or we could make it exactly like the old one. Just let us know the number of people will be ordering and we will look into production options and costs. "

So...what's the interest, do you guys want a new design?
I can't remember if Lip or sgT had one, I think one of them did. I don't know if there was a design on the back or not, can't tell by the pic.
Well, post if you're interested I guess.

This is the only info I have, straigt from AKH page:

"Made of high quality durable materials, this jacket is ideal for trackside conditions on cooler days or just wearing around town. It features a removable hood and an embroidered "TODA POWER" logo to give your competition a clue why they've just lost to your TODA POWERED vehicle."

Can anyone else who bought one, tell us more? Any other pics?

 

If you could get some better pics (front and back) of the jacket that would be tight. I would totally want one if you could get some better images to let us know what we are looking at for one...

Are they gonna make them Japanese spec sizes? If so, one probaly won't fit me...damn sleeves and shoulders.

If they are in US sizes, I'll take an XL

 

They are US sizes...and the first production run was so small...small enough, I guess that they could not SPARE any for their distributors...LOL. Ali...Alan...are you reading this...2 XL's please and a 1 yr old size for the boy!

The manufacturer we use quotes prices based on quantity. To give you guys pricing info I need to know exactly how many people will purchase. Last time we did 30 jackets and the price was about $190 or so. Since our supplier is here in the U.S., the sizes are American sizes (Japanese large is usually equivalent to a U.S. small/medium). We usually produce them in large and extra large which fits most people. The large fits me great and I'm 5'10 (I bench press about 350lbs so I'm wider that average up top). The XL will most people up to 6'5. One of our local customers plays pro hockey for the mighty ducks and he's 6'4 and slim. The XL jacket fits him well. The large is ideal for people between 5'6 to 6'0 and the extra large is good for folks from 6'0 to 6'5.

Hope your cold...cause they are pretty warm. its also pretty long as well so your not going to get any wind up and under it. yes...definitely a trackside jacket.

its blank/black on the back. As Ali said...he could have the Toda logo put on a different design or alter it if you'd like.

I will talk with Ali today on this. How many SERIOUS people are in on this? I have a screen print hookup, but getting them to let me use the logo is like pulling hens teeth. After 3 months of persuasion, I finally got the ok to use it on t-shirts as long as it has other logos on it as well. Will post what I find out. If someone wouldn't mind doing a head count to get this rolling, that would be great.

 

yeah mine came in handy when its cold, but can't wear that thing in the summer ...

What do you guys think about, maybe a polar fleece pullover anorak or something a bit lighter and less expensive? Feedback? If I get the go ahead, I will just have some made up down here through my friends business, and save us all some money. Not sure on that, though.

 

Less expensive? T-Shirts that fit? I'm in. Hell for about $80 you can get a nice nylon or fleece pull-over with a big Toda Racing Logo on the back and a small on on the front. T-Shirt should cost around $20

Allright guys and gals, here is the scoop. First, we need to decide on what we want, pullover, jacket, polar fleece, etc. Then, Ali will get me pricing ONCE we find out who is in and what not. The more we get, the better the pricing. I suggest we see what to order and who is in for sure before going further. If someone else could take the ball with this, I would greatly appreciate it. I will still handle the dealings with AKH, but I dont think I will have time to do much more.
My vote is either for a T-Shirt, SS or LS, or a Nice pullover/anorak jacket.
