Default ask-a-technician: slipping transmission, 88 LX-1

May I start a new "ask the tech" thread? My trans slips wildly between 2&3 and 3&4 under full throttle condition. It's 88 LX-i. is there any adjustment to be made to the trans without a rebuild, i.e., is anything adjustable thru those screws, bumps, bolts on the trans that a tech could adjust? I have only had American rear drivers, so this box is new to me. Thanks.

I'm hoping for honda-tech-pro to respond. His page has gottten so long, you cant find the wheat for the chaff.

160kMiles, New fluid with conditioner added. cable is adjusted to spec. at throttle linkage. Goes into gear properly at each detent. Idle stays constant when going from N to D.
It will also slip when downsshifting as I turn up a sharp right turn uphill, from about 20MPH into the turn.

well it could need a new filter, clutch pack or trans pump. Unfortunately all are expensive to replace/repair
