My Battery light came on in my rex. Its an 89 with a zc, I am thinking its the alternator...what do you all think?

 

i had the same problem with my crx too...it was my alternator but mine didnt start without a jump and from constant recharging the battery i went through brand newbattery. so my guess is its your aternator. buy a new one and put it in yourself...its very easy to do.

 

mine was the alternator. To test it, start your car and disconnect your negative cable and see if it dies out! if it dies then it's the alternator

NEVER disconnect your battery on running vehicle. The battery performs a critical function in absorbing voltage transients that would destroy sensitive electronics.

ok so, i work for a honda dealer and they will check it out on monday, but i did go and try to start it up again tonight and it fired right up, and the light didnt come on... but to be safe some techs at work will check it..thanks for the replys
