Default ***SOHC ITBs***

Which throttle bodies should I get for a DIY ITB setup on my d16y8? Which lines up the best and is the right size for my applications? GSXR 600,750, or 1000? Does any of those fit and are they even different? Also Would anyone recommend Honda CBR 954 Throttle Bodies instead? Please help me pick these, I can pretty much do the rest out of searching and other resources...

Note:
-I allready posted in All Motor Forum
-No resources (that I wanted to use) said the type of throttle body
-TIA

Google search all of your options and find the available/total surface area of each. Use the one that best matches your fuel system and camshaft profile.

Why are you wasting your time putting ITBs on a SOHC VTEC engine anyhow? Just something to do or what? You might make 10 or 15whp at 7000rpm, but your low end is going to suffer and the gains aren't going to be worth the effort.

I don't agree with that really, they are low cost to make and with a cam and header I can make some good power. Plus nobody does it often. I have used google, thanks for trying... BUMP

By "good power" you mean you'll get spanked by a D15B non-VTEC with a $500 home made turbo kit, right? I don't want to **** in your oatmeal or anything, but if you have any goals for this project other than simple originality, you're going to be disappointed.

Dude, I realize that, it's not what I'm looking for. I'm not trying to get you riled up, I want to go ITB, I am looking for around 150 NA and I think that is really doable without turbo and extensive internal/ headwork. I am not trying to be the fastest, otherwise I'd ditch the SOHC, I want a car I am going to love to drive. I.E. Good throttle response, good power, nice power band (mid to top), fun to drive, and so on. I just want to know which will fit my application best spacing wise and diameter wise, then I will study up on runner length and what not.

what he is trying to say is that its not practical to put ITB on a sohc motor, built or not, especially a DD. the loss of power in the bottom end "before vtec" especially will probably overpower the gains you see at the top. the only purpose of this project should be cosmetic.

Go with GSXR1000's or CBR 954rr's for your project. The spacing is very close and the 42mm diameter would suit your 150hp goal nicely.
