Default CTR city light question.....

got a debate with a homie....argument is...how are the city lights supposed to be wired up?! do they go on when the parking light is on? do they go one when parking light is and and alternate when you signal or just stay on?

My friend wired his on with the parking light's. So there for they stay on with the blinker's.

Mine however aren't hooked up.

Yes they stay on as long as the parking light's and headlight's are on. Not sure how they are "Suposed to be".

They are wired to be on as long as your parking lights are on. They wont blink when you signal because they are single filament bulbs and not dual.

untrue....they can go on and off by ...wiring them up to the parkin light wire...colored....green/red....instead of the red to red and ground - ground....it would be red to red and black to green/red....thats how i did mine...and wanted to know if this was correct...or incorrect....but in any case....it doesnt matter to me...i wanted to know the correct way...

Well the correct way was what I posted. I think it would look somewhat retarded if they blinked with your turn signal.

Well, on the JDM ITRs, city lights are the parking lights an do not blink while turning. I hope this info helped you somewhat.

The city lights are parking lights for JDM cars and do not blink and as quoted above..I think it would look retarded as well.

Also, your factory corner lights should be only blinkers and not a "parking" lamps anymore.

here is a car with the city lights hooked up "correctly"

You guys crack me up. Black wire and Green/Red strip wire are your friends. Hook it up the right way.

I could go take pics of my car, but I'm too lazy, I got the city lights, but no sidemarkers unless they are used as the turn signals like the other guy mentioned

Not a CTR, but you get the point as to how these things should look.

to be like a real CTR, your city lights become your parking lights. when you turn on your blinker is when the corner lamps in your headlight comes on, and the city lights don't blink. they stay constant, as mentioned above by Cisco

Ok, so how are you guys wiring up the city lights the correct way? Everyone here is mentioning that they wire them up to stay on with the parking lights. I want mine to be wired like the red civic; the correct way. I want the parking lights to become only blinkers and I want the city lights to become my parking lights. Can anybody tell me how to do that?
