my d17
SEARCH. That will be your best friend if you're trying to find information. It may take a while, but its alot better than posting a thread asking for help about a question that has been answered a million times and waiting on someone to come along and fill you in.
I made a thread pretty similar a few weeks ago asking what would be some good bolt on power upgrades.
You need to take 3 things into account.
1. Budget. If you dont have any money, you cant make anything happen.
2. Is this going to be your daily driver? You wont want to be driving a 400hp turbo beast or whatever to and from school/work everyday if its your only car.
3.How far are you wanting to take your car? It sounds like you are lacking in the information department, try browsing the threads to see what other people have to say about upgrades.
With that being said, and it sounds like you're fairly new, I'd go one of 2 ways.
If you want to add just a little bit of power to pep things up and keep it a reliable form of transportation, throw some bolt-ons in there. (cold air intake, headers/ exhaust, shocks/springs/coilovers, etc) or you could do a swap...k20 or whatever you prefer. I have a cai, headers, straight exhaust, underdrive pulley kit(Alt and P/S), and some NGK wires/plugs
If you want to go *****-to-the-wall speed machine, youll most likely want to swap out that D17 and get a turbo...Altough I have seen a few people who have turbo'd their EM2/ES1 D17's. Your looking at quite a large dent in your pocket if you plan on doing any swap or turbo application, and dont forget the labor costs and the time its going to take. If this is your only car, I recomend you stick to bolt ons until you learn a little more.

Also, don't be a brand ***** unless you are trying to build a show winner, or you are sponsored. A lot of people are under the misconception that just because its got that Injen Sticker and license plate frame You get so much more power, an open element filter is an open element filter. And its not like you will "feel" a huge diff, maybe when passing on the fwy. Its costs more because Injen spends $$$$ on marketing, advertising, overhead etc....Which gets rolled down to you the consumer (shitty huh?) Anyway, Intake, exhaust, header and some suspension, you'll be rollin. But you should really learn more about Honda, and the different styles of building a car etc....Like they said, search.

I;d say thats a pretty accurate statement.

Correct, if you really want to make power go F/I. Trust me, I have intake/exhaust on my D and it makes alot of noise, thats about it.
