swap wont start
I just put a 2000 ls motor into my 92 vx, and following tom's right up, i used the obd2 engine harness and plugged it into my vx harness. There was a 4th vx plug that had no where to plug into the ls harness. I"M using an obd1 p75 ecu.
I'm getting spark and fuel, its turning over, but wont fire. Timing is on correctly, and compression is good, and no CELs. I still need a pcv valve and to figure out where the control box vacuum hoses go, but that should only affect idle, not start up.
If i was getting fuel and have been cranking it over as much as i have been, should the plugs be wet? I pull them out and they are dry, but i cant smell guess cause i have a realy bad cold and its like 27* outside.
All my grounds are good....what else should i look for??
Also...there is a long lead coming from my pos. terminal on the ls harness that looks like it SHOULD be a groudn wire, but certainly isnt. where should this wire go to? ( No its not the one for the starter) ITs long, thick, and has white sheathing.

All my grounds are good, i'm getting spark and everything...
I tested out the injectors tonight, and they were seeing 12 volts to only one prong on the clip not both....then i grounded out the other prong to make the injectors 'click' and they didnt....?

I followed the procedure in the hsm and tested the injectors in and out , back and forth. everything checks out. now i'm wondering if its the feed line to the fuel rail, and if i installed it correctly?
Should the bolt/fitting coming out of the fuel rail have a hole going through it? or only on the end going straight in the fuel rail? Mine only goes straight in, with no holes going straight through, but i have a d series in the garage that has a hole going straight down trhough it where the fuel line bolts on.... Could i be using the wrong hose setup or something?

are you really sure your getting a spark? have you tried cranking it with the sparkplugs out of the motor to see if they really do spark?
and if they do spark. then take out hte fuel injectors and crank it ... it wil be obvious if they are shooting fuel. ....
and if your shooting fuel and its sparking and its cranking... then theres no reason it shouldnt be starting up. unless the pistons arent in the engine somehow..

Yes spark is def there...
took out fuel rail and injectors and they are not squirting... all wiring checks out and is correct. injector resistance is perfect.... could all four be clogged from sitting????

SO I NEED to know now if its 'probably' the injectors and i should buy another set, or if i could be overlooking something electrical like a ground???

no it might not be the injectors... kinda weird that all 4 go out at the same time. it might be the fuel pump. make sure its turning on. make sure the fuse for the fuel pump isnt popped.

yea thats what i thought, weird all four would not work...maybe one or two but not all four. Pump is def. turning on cause i have undid the fuel rail / line a few times and each time its pressurized with fuel.

i sold the old motor, but those injectors were obd1 and i'm using an obd2 engine harness / motor...

take off the fuel filter. and crank the car. fuel should come gushing out. just becareful when doing this.
if it is releasing fuel then move further down the line... its the fuel rail or the injectors... the fuel injectors are electronically controlled... so it might be that too.

what you mean b+ ?

Well the car is obd1...i'm running an obd1 ls ecu, but the engine and engine harness are obd2. It is backwards interchangeable though so it plugs into an obd1 car and "should" work.
