Default ProComp Electronics Shift light any good?

So I've been looking into getting a shift light for my '00 hatch. I am wanting to set it right below VTEC so that when my less inteligent family members borrow my car they will be afeared of the red light and not go crazy in my car.

I just want to know if anyone has used this one before? (see link)

I am guessing it sucks, but I would like to get an adjustable one and this is the only adjustable one I can find for about the same price as those that use pills.

Any help apprecaited. Or just flame away, I know shift lights are unpopular, I will just concider it a bump for my thread.

I've heard the ProForm ones have a tendancy to randomly flash on and off during idle.

Anybody actually used/owned the ProComp brand?
Known somebody who has?
Feel like making up a story or two about it?
