Default Attempted stolen honda - how can I hotwire it?

Hi, someone tried to steal my 96' civic last night, but since I have a simple anti-theft device that requires a code to be entered before the car can start, they couldnt get away with it. Now my steering column is all ripped apart, and the ignition switch (?) is just kindof dangling there. I tried to start it with a key, but that won't work. I was wondering if it would be possible to hotwire it so I can use the car until I can fix it.

Thanks

Riiiggghhhtt.... Let me just tell you how to hotwire "your" Civic so you can "use the car"...

You should think about things before you ask stupid questions on a public forum... Great start, noob....

i wouldn't be surprised if you were.
considering you are a brand new member.

in the case of anything wiring with your alarm system, if you wired it yourself you should know how to fix it. otherwise, get it towed to an alarm shop. and show them your papers

Agreed. Take a picture of you holding your key next to the broken ignition with a sign saying "This is legit, please help me" and we might be persuaded to send you some helpful hints via PM.

Ditto all the above.... why would you want to hot wire it, your going to need a new ign. switch anyway, why are you not just getting a new one? 94

when my car got broken into and i went to honda to get a new ignition assembly, they showed me exactly how to hotwire it so i'd say go to your local honda dealership and they'll probably show you. they even pulled out the diagrams for me to show me how it's done lol

Yea, this buddy of mine used to be a repo man, I just forgot about him, he showed me how to do it. It was....hella easy since they already did everything I just basically stick the key in and turn. Anyways yea, thx for the post koketsu, it (would have been) actually useful.
