burning oil??
My 01 GSR is losing oil pretty quickly. It burns about a quart a week and a half so I am constantly adding oil. I just bought this car and the previous owner had this turboed but then took it off to sell it. I thought it was going to be the oil pan but check it everywhere and no holes. Then I checked the plugs and they're fine too. It does'nt leak on the ground any where so could it possibly be burning through the exhaust?? I have no idea whats wrong so if any one had an idea, tell me.
one of the most common problems with high-mileage and/or hard driven honda vtec motors is the valve train, more specifically the valve guides and valve stem seals. There could also be the problem of one of the sets of piston rings.
Run a compression test on the motor, if that doesn't yield a specific cylinder causing the problem (or more than one) then run a compression test.
Don't know what they are? just search - too lazy to explain
i had a similar problem (lost some oil, but not nearly that much) with the '99 civic Si i used to own

Could be a lot of things.. Try doing a search.. im know theres archived threads that are similar.
But milage would play a big part.. Make sure theres no leaks around the head gasket or valve cover gasket.
- Vtec burns oil, try keeping it under vtec for a while and see if that cuts down on oil consumption.
You could also run an oil system cleaner and run some AMSOIL - its supposed to be a very low-consumption oil.

my integ started doing the same thing at about 135000 miles. it was the cam seal and the valve guides. got the head redone and everything was fine. i'd check those first.
when i just got my motor rebuilt, my machinest showed me that the valve guides do have some problems. I was surprised to see it. The head gasket is known for burning oil when it goes, it also will show foggy coolant, meaning oils getting into the coolant. get a compression check. good luck

Good luck man --
I have very similar symptoms and everyone has told me it's my rings (rebuilt motor though).
I've heard comp tests can be misleading if you have head problems (for reasons that can be found by searching).
check the cheap stuff first (that's the route I'm going anyway).
I'm in Tyrone, GA btw -- just noticed you were in NEWnan
