Default ULEV VTEC?

I was looking at motors earlier and I found the F23A4 out of a 98 accord. It's a SOHC "ULEV VTEC" engine.

My question is, what is the difference between this and a regular VTEC or an iVTEC?

i'm familiar with VTEC AND i-VTEC, someone tell me about ULEV VTEC.

it will work just fine. there really is no differemce between this and the normal V-tec engine in the car. ULEV was only available with an auto............

(U)tra (L)ow (E)mission (V)ehicle

All that ULEV means is that Honda designed the motor to comply with standards that allow Honda to label the vehicle as ULEV.

It's a marketing tool allowed manufacturers, to show that they have proved that they are concerned with emissions and the environment.

I see a lot of 6th gen accords with ULEV on them and they were never in CA. I believe that the V6 accord is ULEV as w ell.
