Default K20A valvetrain

Does the DC5's K20A engine use roller camshaft followers now, or are they still solid lifters? Anyone know more about TODA camshafts?

Toda camshafts for the K20 have not been released to the market yet, so you'll have to wait and see.

I can't wait to see what the K20s can do. B18C5s are extreme already in terms of naturally aspirated potential. If the K20 has roller cam followers, that will allow for even more extreme cam profiles and ramp speeds! I wonder how long it will be until they develop an individual throttle body set. Pistons will probably come out along with "Spec-C equivalent" cams (supposing they make stepped specs). Then call John at HyTech and have a header and straight canister exhaust fabricated. Dial it all in with an AEM ECU on the dyno....

Yes, that's me too. I was almost sure that B-series just used flat contact cam followers. The F20C S2000 engine does use roller followers, so I suspected the K20 might as well have them too.

umm, im positive k20 uses roller rockers. i know the b series look a bit diff, but couldnt remember the name.. they arent lifters, maybe just flat rockers, but i thought they were also referred to as rollers.

ill have to look in the damn manuals to see the diffs now.

The new Rsx Engine uses roller rockers. All of the K-series do.
