Hey all,

I did an oil change at 53,000 miles. at 55,600 miles, I got a "maintenance req'd" light flashing. It happened at the instant i turned on cruise control and went away after about 8 blinks. After I shut the car off when I got home, I started it again. The light then flashed 8 times and went off. What is the deal with this? I have a prospective buyer coming this saturday and i need to know how to get it fixed. I've only had the car for 7,000 miles, and the only maintenance ive done on it is oil changes at every 3,000 miles. I'm almost at the next 3,000 miles and will change it before showing the car. Why is the light coming on at startup? Need I be concerned?

then turn over to the on position continue holding until it disspears!


BTW sideways helped me out with this</TD></TR></TABLE>

put key in

hold down trip button

turn to on

continue to hold down trip button until light is gone (20-30 seconds)

 

1) turn the key to the lock position

2) hold the trip button down then turn the key to on position, keep holding it down until you see the light go off
