A couple of days ago my power door locks (both driver and passenger) suddenly stopped working. Actually it happened to me a couple of weeks ago but started working again until a couple of days ago. I have it hooked up to my alarm so that it locks when i arm the car and unlock when i disarm the car. Now my alarm works fine but i now have to manually unlock/lock the car with my key. The lock/unlock switch inside the car won't work too. I have to unlock the doors manually by pulling out the lock/unlock tab. I don't think there is a fuse for the power door locks but i checked them anyways and they are all fine. Any help?

 

It might be the actuator. Take the panel off and have a look. Same thing happend to me on the passenger side.

 

I was actually thinking it might be the actuator but this happened to both doors; not just one; like in your case. i'll check out the actuator first thing tomorrow anyways. Is there an actual way of testing the unit if it's faulty or not? Any more suggestion?

 

Trying to remember... I don't think it would happen but if you had the lock (for the windows) switch on maybe it disables the door locks too??

I tried that too but still nothing. Actually, my power door locks started working again today but then stopped working later through the day. Most likely it's the power door lock control unit. I was able to lock/unlock the doors without the control unit by jumping a couple of connections from the harness noted in the service manual. If i'm able to do that, then most likely the control unit is faulty. I'm going to purchase one from eBay and hopefully that will fix the problem.
